I love hearing new voices and helping singers evolve into accomplished vocalists.

 

I pride myself on my commitment to a vocalist's progression and one of my greatest passions in life is hearing a voice, deconstructing it and understanding its characteristics. Seeing a singer truly command their instrument is the highlight.

 

Basically, I am a vocal geek and continuously research the voice as an instrument.

I have over 25 years of experience as a singer and over 15 years as a vocal coach.

What is my speciality?

​

I coach professional vocalists and performers whilst they are on their contracts as part of the rehearsal or pre production phase.

​

I also work in Theatre, TV and Film to bring authenticity to the sound, mentor Artists in the music industry, and help actors for roles which require singing. I am hired by production companies to work closely with their cast and teach them how to maintain the voice on longer contracts.

​

I specialise in vocal techniques, understanding the natural vocal characteristics to manipulate the voice, as well as how to sing any genre authentically. 

​

I use a mixture of techniques within my coaching to find the most effective and consistent way to use the voice as I don't believe one size fits all. I like to work closely with clients and singers to get the best out of them and I see fantastic results every week, so it works!

My experience as a lead lecturer in vocal performance (up to Masters degree level) has given me the benefits of coaching hundreds of students, creating personalised plans all at varying levels and researching the voice. I am currently writing a book for advanced singers.

 

I am also open to 1:1 private coaching to professional/practicing vocalists over the age of 16 years.
