I work internationally with entertainment and production companies as a Musical Director and Vocal Director, specialising in shaping, coaching, and refining vocal performances for live shows, television, touring artists, and studio projects.

​

My work includes musically directing vocalists cast in large-scale live productions, coaching talent appearing on television, and working closely with lead singers and recording artists both on tour and in the studio. Whether artists are highly experienced professionals or newly graduated performers, I ensure vocal performances are technically secure, stylistically authentic, and production-ready.

I work in detail on arrangements, harmonies, blend, and vocal placement, coaching singers to elevate performance quality while maintaining consistency and authenticity. My approach is both musically precise and performer-focused, ensuring that vocal direction supports the wider creative vision of the production.

Vocal Health & Performance Sustainability

​

A key part of my role is safeguarding vocal health and longevity. I proactively troubleshoot potential vocal issues before they arise—whether that involves eliminating inefficient habits, adapting technique to meet performance demands, or creating structured development plans that run alongside a role or contract.

​

For productions that require performers to sing and dance simultaneously, I work closely with choreographers and creative teams to ensure that vocal technique is never compromised. This collaborative approach allows performers to achieve the highest level of physical and vocal performance without sacrificing sound quality or vocal wellbeing.

Vocal Design

​

Taking singing beyond performance and into sound design is an area I am deeply passionate about. Vocal design treats the voice as an instrument within the wider sonic landscape of a production, using it creatively to enhance emotional impact and storytelling.

 

This aspect of my work originated through musically directing circus and multidisciplinary productions. By carefully designing arrangements, dynamics, and vocal textures to align with the visual narrative, I create a cohesive world where sound and movement are fully integrated and become part of an immersive ecperiemce for the audienvce.

By understanding the emotional intent expressed visually, I shape vocal dynamics and coach performers to deliver sound that amplifies the audience’s experience.

Casting Consultation

In addition to musical and vocal direction, I offer casting consultation, supporting production companies and creative teams in identifying the right voice for the right role or project. This includes assessing vocal suitability, stylistic authenticity, vocal durability, and ensemble balance, ensuring casting decisions align with both creative vision and practical performance demands.

Workshops & Industry Training

I also translate my professional practice into bespoke workshops for educational institutions, agencies, performers, creatives, and production teams.

 

These sessions can focus on vocal technique, ensemble work, vocal health on long contracts, vocal design, or performance sustainability, and can be tailored for conservatoires, professional casts, production companies, or creative teams.
