I work internationally with various entertainment and production companies to musical direct vocalists that have been cast in live shows, talent on TV, and I also work with lead singers/artists on tour and in the studio.
Whether they are highly experienced or fresh new graduates, I work closely with them to ensure that the all important arrangements/harmonies are in place and coach techniques to elevate their performance with authenticity.
I also cover vocal health and troubleshoot any vocal issues before they arise whether that is eradicating bad habits or creating a development plan to run alongside the role.
I coach singers who are required to dance to ensure that technique is not compromised by working alongside the choreographer to establish the highest level of performance without affecting the sound.

What is vocal design? Taking singing to another level of sound design is something I adore. Vocal design is using the voice as an instrument and creatively profiting from its sound can be something very special.
This all started with my experience of MD'ing circus shows where the production singers are sometimes a separate department to what is happening on stage.
By considering the arrangements and matching the dynamics to what is happening on stage I can create a world through the vocal sound which marries the audio to the visual side. By understanding the emotion expressed visually, I enhance the experience of the audience through the sound/vocals by carefully designing the dynamics and coaching the vocalists through this making it part of the arrangement with consistency.
